• URTP is now member of the following organizations

URTP's member can be:

• ordinary members: administrations, commercial companies, associations and others alike, being legal persons, having an immediate object of activity concerning the public transport along urban, peripherical and suburban areas as well as those who carry on research, design and executive works, concerning the public transport area, manufacturing, modernization and repairs of typical vehicles;
  

• extraordinary members: supporter members, Romanian or foreign companies supplying public transport operators, natural persons who work directly within the public transport area or who have worked at least 10 years in this field of activity, including teaching staff and students graduating an institution or a faculty in this profile or interdisciplinary.

The quality of a member is assigned on the basis of a written request addressed to its President. The resolution regarding the admission as a member of U.R.T.P. is the Executive Office's competence.
The participants in U.R.T.P.'s General Assembly are its members by right and have the quality of a founding member.
Commercial companies, administrations, associations, institutions and others alike, supporting - by different means - the activity of the Union, can receive, upon their request, the quality of a supporter.

The U.R.T.P.'s members have the following rights:
- to take part in the activities, manifestations and actions initiated by the Union, within the country and abroad;
- to be informed and to express their opinion about the activities developed by the Union;
- to benefit information and documentation means offered by the Union;
- to contribute to the Union's publications;
- to benefit a letter of introduction either in order to participate in studies, expertise and consulting staff initiated by the Union or to carry out engineering and any other nature of works specifical for the public transport or connected to it, on behalf of the Union;
- to use the quality of an ordinary, founding, supporter or honour member of the Union, within official or personal documents;
- to elect and to be elected within the leading authorities of the Union, being entitled to speak and vote, either as a representative of the members, as defined in article 12, paragraph a, of this Statute, or as a natural person.

The URTP's members have the following obligations:
- to comply with the Union's Statute as well as with the professional ethics standards;
- to efficiently take part in accomplishing the Union's objectives and to contribute to its professional and social prestige increase;
- not to initiate or develop political activities and social, ethnical or religious discrimination, within or on the occasion of the manifestations or any other actions organized by the Union;
- to pay the member due, in the settled amount and on due terms;
- to communicate their professional experience in the view of being spread through its Bulletin and Review.
